6 Million Guests Served!
On August 16, 2020 The Lord’s Diner served its 6 millionth guest, Walt Helmke. Walt has been riding his bike to the Broadway and Central location for years. His favorite meal is meatloaf and he enjoys meeting so many new friends at the diner.
We will not open dining halls until we can safely allow guests and volunteers to enter. As things look now, it will be awhile. We will continue to serve to-go meals at all our locations.
We are honoring the face mask directive.
We try hard to maintain social distancing and for the most part we are able to accomplish this, however to be safe all volunteers are asked to wear a face mask when working prep or serving shifts.
On the trucks volunteers are asked to wear a mask.
The exceptions listed in the official code.
If you are assigned a task that you can maintain 6 feet from other volunteers, an example would be washing dishes or laundry.
Working alongside a family member 6 feet from other volunteers.
